ALT 1 - Technology Operations and Concepts

Demonstrate a sound understanding of computer technology: what types of technology exist, how types of technology function, what component parts work with specific technologies.

AST 1.1 - Computer Hardware, Peripherals  :  Demonstrate understanding of computer hardware, peripherals and troubleshooting.

AST 1.2 - Computer Software  :  Understand, evaluate, and use computer software.

AST 1.3 - Operating Systems  :  Explore and demonstrate understanding of managing operating systems.

ALT 2 - Productivity Apps - Word Processing

Understand and effectively use the common application functions with word processing.

AST 2.1 - Format Documents  :  Explore and demonstrate understanding of managing operating systems.

AST 2.2 - Automate Processes  :  Be able to use word-processing tools to automate processes: document review, security, collaboration.

AST 2.3 - Tables and Lists  :  Use and modify tables and different lists.

AST 2.4 - Page Layout Options  :  Use and modify page layout options (e.g. numbering, columns, margins, and alignment of text in paragraphs and tables, tabs and rulers, and orientation).

ALT 3 - Productivity Apps - Spreadsheets

Understand and effectively use the common application functions with spreadsheets.

AST 3.1 - Manage Worksheet Data  :  Modify, organize and manage worksheet data, structure and formatting (e.g., budgets, statistics, inventory).

AST 3.2 - Modify Cells, Columns, Rows  :  Modify cells, columns, and rows (e.g. insert, delete, adjust the width/height, change alignment, locate, merge and un-merge cells).

AST 3.3 - Formulas and Functions  :  Sort, calculate and manipulate data using formulas and functions and create/build simple, effective charts.

AST 3.4 - Create, Modify Graphs  :   Apply knowledge of spreadsheets to create and modify charts and graphs.

ALT 4 - Productivity Apps - Presentation Software

Understand and effectively use the common application functions with presentation software.

AST 4.1 - Modify Slide  :  Insert and modify text, tables, multimedia, charts, and shapes on a slide.

AST 4.2 - Modify Order of Slides  :  Add, remove, and modify the order of slides.

AST 4.3 - Layout of Slides  :  Change the layout of slides.

AST 4.4 - Animations and Transitions  :  Add and modify animations and transitions.

AST 4.5 - Present Presentations  :  Design, manage, modify and present presentations for a variety of audiences and purposes .

Understand and effectively use the common application functions with databases.

AST 5.1 - Modify Data in Database  :  Add, delete, and modify data in a database.

AST 5.2 - Reports  :  Create and run basic reports.
